Main Screen

The main screen consists of 5 different areas:

» Main Image: the main area where the map is shown, where you can interact with the various available tools (central area).

» Mini View: the area where the map is shown to a maximised scaled indicating where you are situated on the main map (lower right hand side).

» Information screen: Place where the relative information about the area being viewed is situated (top right hand side).

» Tools: Set of tools allowing you to interact with the main image (centre right hand side).

» Main Screen Buttons: Allow you to interact with the main image, such as closing, minimising or enlarging the given picture (top right hand corner).

» 3D Cursor: A 3D cursor which allows you to measure the height of any given point on the main image, as well as enabling you to position yourself to your height with the use of your pc’s mouse.

Use of Tools and Buttons

3D button 3D Button: Activates the stereo mode of the current image, in the case of having an image in auto stereo mode; the button remains out of use, solely indicating whether you are in 2D or 3D mode.
zoom in Zoom in: A button allowing you to enlarge the main image, reducing the scale to half (3D mode). Also you can zoom by clicking or dragging the mouse to the area you wish.
zoom out Zoom out: A button allowing you to reduce the main image, enlarging the scale to double the size. Available in 2D mode as well as stereo mode (3D mode).
measurement of Distance Measurement of Distance: A tool allowing the measurement of straight distances between 2 given points. Available only in 2D mode. measurement of areas Measurement of Areas: A tool allowing you to measure triangular areas.
scroll Scroll: A tool enabling you to scroll the image with the use of the mouse. home Home: Return back to the initial starting image.
forward Forward: Return to the subsequent image. In the case of no subsequent image, the button stays neutral. back Back: Return to the previous image. In the case of no previous image, the button stays neutral.
move up Move up: Move north of the image. move down Move down: Move south of the image.
move right Move right: Move east of the image. move left Move left: Move west of the image.

Screen Information Data

» Image: Name of the image in the current map.

» Coordinates: Indicates the position of the image, and the numbers with which you are working with.

» X: Current latitudinal coordinate of where you are situated.

» Y: Current longitudinal coordinate of where you are situated.

» Z: Current height you are situated at, available in stereo mode.

» Scale: The relationship between the map dimensions and the real surface dimensions presented. For example a scale of 1:100.000 indicates that 1 centimetre on the map represents 1 kilometre in reality.

» Longitude: the results from the “Measurement of distance” tool.

» Area: the results from the “Measurement of area” tool.
